Christopher and Ferdinand at Kasteels poort
I was over the moon when I heard that Klaus was requesting a guided tour of table mountain for 4 pax. He too feeling the need to show off the splendors of living in Cape Town to his guest’s over the festive season.
We started our trail at the pipe track and we soon came across a few new flowers I have not seen before. About 10 minutes before we got to start our climb we had to make an urgent stop but with a quick detour the ladies opted out, leaving Ferdinand in his Iron Man t-shirt, Klaus and myself to explore the 7th wonder of nature on our own.
We climbed to the top of Kasteels poort with an amazing pase, passing breakfast rock on the way to reveal only her greatest views of the Atlantic Ocean and Camps bay. Lunch was a brief couple of minutes before we headed for our last stretch towards the cable car.
The surprise waiting for us at the cable car was just over an hour long wait to get down but this did not get our spirits down, as we soon got moved to the front of line and I ended the year 2013 off on a phenomenally positive note
