Exploring & Hiking Table Mountain with Klaudia

Exploring and Hiking Table Mountain with Klaudia over the Christmas Season of 2015 in Cape Town. We started early enough to catch the sunrise and head up Table Mountain VIA the Pipe Track. We met quite a few people on trail that day making the experience all the worth while.

We slowly made our way to the Back Table Dams going through Kasteels Poort. We took a short snack break before heading to the East facing slopes of Table Mountain, overlooking the greater Cape Flats and opposite mountain ranges.

Exploring & Hiking Table Mountain with Klaudia

Klaudia and I had great fun, sharing stories of our travels and how amazing the views was. Klaudia found the weather to be perfect for adventure. A full day hiking Table Mountain, great views and excellent company was more than one could ask. I explained the delicate micro climate that surround Table Mountain and how this is needed for such a poor nutrient soil type.

Embracing the beauty that is

Many find it hard to believe that there are so much to do and see on Table Mountain. Looking at it from the ground one easily fooled by the size, therefor we stress the fact that Table Mountain is not to be explore along and is best enjoyed in a group, making memories with friends.

We had both enjoyed our hike up Table Mountain and Klaudia found the Hiking experience well informed and add  ” having a local guide do the trail adds great value to the experience” We @ SA Treks and Adventures by Christopher Smith encourage everyone to hire a local guide not only for safety but to help feed and build employment in the local community.
