Table Mountain Overnight Trail
TABLE MOUNTAIN OVERNIGHT TRAIL
With a long awaited holiday for Margaret, Indigo and David had finally arrived in the most beautiful City of Cape Town. I was fortunate enough to set up a 2 day Overnight Trail on the magnificent Table Mountain. David had completed the Cape Argus Cycle tour few weeks before and their Princess Indigo is trending for all inspiring reasons.
The first day started with a steady walk along the Pipe track and a leisurely hike up Kasteels Poort to the Dams on Table Mountain. Our day was nothing short of amazing. The breathtaking views, interaction and connection with nature set the tone for what was to be a memorable and unforgettable experience.
Day 2 was like a fairy tale, it was fairly clear the morning with high laying clouds offering shade from the last of the Autumn Sun.
By mid day the wind starting picking up and cloud started forming, very quickly the temperature starting dropping. Indigo looks at me and in a very stern voice ” and that is why it is so important to take your rain coat and jumper because you never know how Table Mountains mood will change” I could not agree more.
Our Hike then had to be diverted to Nursery Ravine and started making our way down in to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
